Sondamian

The Sondamians or Sõdáám are a Havlean descendant native to what is now Sondamia. They are most closely related to the Neo-Havleans.

Sondamian culture is shrouded in mystery, literally, their hidden villages allude to this. Many Sondamians train in the arts of espionage and assassination. In fact they do not have a standing army, with the exception of the few Sondamians who fought in the Imperial military. Instead, they work as mercenaries, spies, and hired assassins.

Art & Architecture

Most of Sondamia is a jungle, there is not much space for farmland or construction. This is why one of the only cities in Sondamia is Nimat'opek, located on one of the only clearings in the region. As such the vast majority of Sondamian food production and infrastructure is located there. However, many people live within the jungle, in communities built in the trees which are hidden to outsiders. What may look like a few huts next to a pond reveals to be merely a façade hiding the vast network of treehouses above. These tree-villages are the height of Sondamian architecture, masterful woodwork that rivals that of the Praimaai with intricate designs and engravings. The trees are very robust, more than enough to support these villages, indeed the Sondamians and the trees live in a sort of symbiosis.
