Fuyuzoraya (Foo-yoo-zoh-rah-yah)
Translated from Kyokan ( 冬空屋 ) as the Winter Sky Inn, this establishment can be found just beyond the North Road in Yukijima, situated along the Kuromizu River. Run by the locally well-known brother and sister combination, Akari and Hideki Sakurazaki, this establishment hasn't left the Sakurazaki family in generations; as such it has existed in Yukijima well before the Shogunate was ever in power. With Akari and Hideki's parents both deceased, the two have taken it upon themselves to steer the establishment as best they can into the future.
Purpose / Function
Fuyuzoraya's purpose is the same as it was hundreds of years ago when it was first built--provide weary travelers a luxurious stay that will allow them to feel like an Emperor, even if only for a night.
Alterations
Over the many generations this establishment has existed, renovations and work has had to be done to update the structure or fix any damages that have been acquired over time. Most of the notable alterations to the original building have been entire roof replacements (notably from thatch to tile), as well as room expansion for those staying at the Inn. The baths and the area around the riverside have remained largely the same.

Tourism
The bulk of patrons that stay at the Fuyuzoraya are wealthy travelers or government officials visiting the city to meet with its Mayor. There are always an interesting mix of classes and professions as such, as merchants, officials, samurai, and even a few foreign dignitaries have come to stay at this inn. With such a history serving in Yukijima however, the Sakurazaki family has taken pride in offering several affordable accommodations for those who simply do not have the money to stay in the higher-end suites. As is their philosophy, once you decide to stay at the Winter Sky Inn, you shall be treated like an Emperor.
