Headmaster Arthur Danaerian Tannenbaum is head of the Tannenbaum Academy, as well as an accomplished adventurer in his own right.

General Physical Condition
Years as an adventurer have left Arthur a paragon of physical fitness, and covered in scars. Though his duties largely revolve around paperwork these days, he keeps up a training regimen to prevent his musculature from atrophying.

Personal history
Raised in the humble nation of Fyoreland, Arthur began life as a cobbler's son. A somewhat bright child, he lost himself in novels of great heroes and powerful wizards - benevolent ones that contrasted sharply with the Archons. Wanting to be like the characters in his books, he scrimped and saved every coin he earned, and with a small loan from his supportive parents, gained entry into a prestigious school of magic.
Though he did not excel at spellcraft, he worked hard to maintain a passing grade. In his second year of school, a bladesinging elven professor took him under her wing when he showed remarkable proficiency in swordplay. Though she did not teach him the secrets of bladesinging, he learned how to handle a wide array of weaponry under her tutelage. When his magical talents came up short in his later years at school, his professor offered him scholarship, on the grounds that he prove himself in grueling tests of martial prowess. He accepted, and pushed himself to the limit, mastering her program in time to graduate. Freshly graduated, Arthur found employ in Fyoreland and Avem alike, making a name for himself as a talented "Eldritch Knight" and mercenary. This time informed his morals and sense of duty, balancing the benevolence of his home nation with the sense of justice of Avem. Over the course of his journey, he met and fell in love with a woman named Vanessa Rosales. Eventually, he asked Vanessa for her hand in marriage, which she agreed to. However, tragedy struck: Arthur suffered from a peculiar form of depression which has been described as hallucinatory mania; he imagine another life with another woman named Skyla Lumire, and when cognitive dissonance wasn't enough to justify her existence, he suffered the profound and crippling sadness that only a widower could.
Stricken with grief, Arthur tried to convince his remaining fiance of their mutual partner to no avail. Instead, he worked to immortalize the deeds of Skyla Lumiere in fictional novels, like the books of his youth. Time passed, and he left mercenary work behind, settling with Vanessa in Harna City to found The Tannenbaum Academy: a place where he could pass on his knowledge of mixed magical and martial arts.
Education
After receiving an education in the basics of magic, and a much better education in the martial arts, Arthur combined the two into a unique combat style that very few ever come to master. The Tannenbaum Academy exists to spread the knowledge of this style, as well as many other hybrid forms of sword and spell.

Arthur is headmaster of the Tannenbaum Academy.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Arthur has had an impressive career as an adventurer. In the early days of his career, he operated primarily in Fyoreland, slaying beasts such as manticores, chimeras, and all sorts of trolls including undead and frightfully mutated trolls. Sometimes he did this as a part of a group, other times, singlehandedly.
The second half of his mercenary life was spent primarily in Avem. He spent much time fighting the horrors in Veno'mia. Though he never formally joined the Knight's of Legislation, he worked along side them on many occasions, earning their respect and goodwill. His crowning achievement is slaying a lich, its undead blue dragons, and destroying its phylactery, snuffing out what could have been centuries of terror.

Mental Trauma
Despite consultations from experts, no one has ever concretely identified the 'hallucinatory mania' that afflicts Arthur. While it is a private affair, the unique nature of this affliction has led to scholarly articles being written about it, making it a somewhat publicly known condition.
While this has cast a bit of a shadow on Arthur's career, those who meet or talk to him understand that he's since managed to get a grasp on this strange mania and that it no longer affects his ability to function at all.
Morality & Philosophy
Arthur has a strong moral compass, and abides by a code of law. He doesn't shy away from a fight if diplomacy breaks down, though he's not one to kill unnecessarily. Arthur believes "people are generally good, and for the rest of 'em, there's folks like me."

Even now, Arthur makes shoes in his off time, as a hobby.
Speech
No one who hears him would doubt for a second that Arthur is from Fyoreland. He speaks with a heavy draw, at least when speaking Seddenese, to the point that he often switches to Ambian if 'folks' have an issue understanding his natural accent.
