Archfey

An Archfey is a powerful Fey creature with the influence, understanding, and power to bend the surrounding portions of The Realm Tree's Feywild and The Murk to its will. Some say, much like the Ancients Arbora and Faust, their influence extends beyond the Feywild to an extent. Unlike the rest of the fey, Archfey are immortal and immutable, though death and corruption can affect them like most denizens of creation.
Unlike the Ancients' practice of stewardship, many Archfey see themselves as more active participants in the politics of the realms. This active role can involve making deals and pacts with mortals, aiding or hindering those who travel into their domains, or squabbling amongst themselves over territory.
Since the wounding of The Realm Tree at the hands of Nex in 1,001 3A, much of the Fey beings have devoted themselves to one of four powerful Archfey, each representing one of four seasons. Each faction believes their ideal for the new Realm Tree once it reaches maturity to be the best, and currently bicker amongst themselves regarding this, much to Arbora's displeasure.
