The Murk
The Murk is the chaotic realm ruled over by the Ancient Faust. His domain is a putrid, ever changing swamp, whose thornes and sludge drag down anyone unfortunate enough to go back on a deal with the scheming Ancient. The entire realm is designed to trap, ensnare and confuse; a manifestation of Faust’s desires and aspirations for any Mortal that thinks he can outsmart his better. Much of the murky black water holds in it the Anima or bodies of backstabbers, deal breakers and unsanctioned thieves; all those who sought to take advantage of the Ancient's generous offers.
It's said that only Faust and the oldest of the Murk's prisoners know how to properly navigate the tumultuous bog, though the realm itself is not hostile to outside visitors. The realm is also said to be home to the sinister Slaad race, though whether or not Faust had something to do with their existence remains a mystery.
