Crescentian Dragon Riders

The Dragon Riders were a special branch of the Crescentian Imperial Legion that acted as the first line of defense for the city of Imperia. Shortly after the empire's initial conception under Mythra Crescentia, the Dragon Riders bred metallic dragons and removed their intelligence at a young age through magical means, making them suitable mounts for the soldiers of the legion.
The adventuring group The Companions convinced Emperor Lunin that this practice was inhumane, and shortly after the empire's millenial celebration in 1000 3A, the Dragon Riders were disbanded and the remaining young dragons in the Empire's possession were released into the wild.
