Veridium

Serving as a contrast to the magic nullifying Silverite, the ore Veridium, when refined, serves as a magical amplifier. Although not inherently magical itself, Veridium is particularly receptive to arcane energies and therefore may be used to create objects that retain more powerful enchantments, for longer periods of time. It can also be utilized to replace and act as other expensive materials and components for spells and other uses. Many common magical items and weapons are crafted using Veridium, making it a valuable commodity among sellswords, smiths, and scholars alike. 
Unlike Silverite which is almost solely found in specific areas on Crescentia near The Silver City, Veridium is found in certain isolated areas throughout Arkos, though one of the known primary locations is the dwarven city of Volgrim in the Kingdom of Velant.
