The Corintine Desert
What was once a lush and beautiful plains ruled by the the Kingdom of Craigden, the Corintine Desert is now a vast wasteland of sand, dunes, and ruins. When the Blue dragon Burranex flew from the Silvas Mountains they brought a store so violent it flooded the GalanFang Forest creating the Moore. This storm washed away much of the plains land leaving an arid top soil that the dragon used their magic to transform into a sand, with much of the left over buildings from the dwarven kingdom hidden under sand dunes. Now Burranex sleeps in her layer under the desert in a hidden temple, with desert tribes still worshipping her and accumulating treasure in her honour. These tribes are thieves and slavers, either cutting the throats of merchants and adventurers travelling the across the sands. Or raiding the other tribes of the land and the small towns of Radaum and Craigden that border the desert or Craigden River. Some chose to travel across the desert to trade in the city Celda, which is one of the two cities in the desert. Celda is ruled by the Maipowa Tribe a Matriarchal society ruled by Queen Mothers. Celda is trade hub and is built over ancient dwarven ruins that connect to a fresh water spring, all who cross the desert between the Kingdoms of Raduam and Craigden stop at Celda on their way threw the desert unless they have trouble with the Maipowa People. As many of the tribes from the desert and even from the GalanFang Moore make their way to Celda to trade and sell their wares and found treasures. The other city in the Cortintine Desert is Nophanarth it is the home base of the wandering Moph tribes who search the desert ruins for treasure for their god Burranex. The Moph tribes are snakefolk who enslave all other races and use them as either food or workers. The desert is over seventy two miles from north to south and sixty miles from east to west at its longest and widest points. To the North of the desert is the Vulbar Mountains home to the Vulmoore Kingdom, and to the north and east is the GalanFang Moore and Forest, along with the Craiden Kingdom to the east. To the south is the Silvas Range and the Great Tooth Alps and to the west is the Kingdom of Radaum, Mount Keleb and Kelebs Woods.
