Strachino - Ashview

Strachino / Ashview is a tangle of narrow streets and tall slender buildings. The city is the most ancient of the island of Carthia and clings to its long and renowned history, with the senate being mostly comprised of the old religious families.
In history, the city was ruled by several powerful Arcanist that held significant influence and power. The city was originally built around The Citadel which drew in aspiring scholars from all around the world.
However, after the Unification of Carthia by Atrius Reagus and the rise of the Church of Taro, the Citadel and much of the town was raised. In it's place Strachino (or Ashview) was founded.
Ashview is ruled by Lord Marcus Reagus, who is at constant ends with the overzealous nobility and formed The Royal College of Natural Philosophy on top of the old ruins of The Citadel to try and reform its image back into one of learning and natural means.
