the Shademour Family

The Shademours are a family of rat-catchers and the founders of the Vermin Guild. They're a family born in poverty who, thanks to the introduction of rat delicatessen in blackwater, rose in wealth and power over the last 30 years, being the first family in Blackwater to be formally recognised as nobles in over 200 years.

Their rise to nobility has made them the poster child for the recent changes being made by King Arcturus III., being used to tell people that anyone can gain wealth and glory in the future that the king envisions. Whether the family agrees with this vision of the King or not hasn't been made clear yet.
