Hobgoblin
Considered to be the lowest form of Goblinoid, the hobgoblins are small creatures that live on the edge of the Great Swamp. They stand roughly three feet tall and are eager to trade away their services, freedom, friends, and family for something shiny. This leads to them often being abused as slaves by the local Lizardfolk, though the Elves of Elunore have gone to great lengths to liberate the little folk, they often wind right back in danger. They are honest and naive little creatures, that make perfect guides through the swamp, should you need it.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
Hobgoblins speak their own language and often speak elven. Though they are not especially intelligent, they are adaptable and learned elven as a means to acquire more "wealth."
Culture and cultural heritage
Hobgoblins live in sprawling villages with huts made of mud and sticks. They seem quite content with their filthy little life and enjoy having "big folk" visitors. Traveling bards are their favorite, as they love stories. However hobgoblins can not stand the sound of elven music and will begin to shriek in terror should the bard begin to sing.
