Arturo hails from Shilvania, across The Barrens and the Glass Desert, and holds the customs of his people (one of the many wandering clans) dear to his heart, and is probably the most distinguishable of the group. This works in his favor, as his job is usually to draw attention for one reason or another, and he takes great relish in doing so. He wears colorful, flamboyant clothes (except when its impressed upon him that they need to not draw attention), and is incredibly musical in his way of speech and moving.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Ectomorph. Petite, lithe build. He's a lean slip of a thing, but not overly so. He's very healthy looking, just thin-boned and doesn't have a lot of muscle or fat on his body at all. He's well-proportioned, though his legs do seem to take up a bigger part of his body; he seems like he's built for speed. His shoulders are only slightly wider than his tiny hips.
Body Features
Hair: Dark Brown; short and very curly, cut about his ears. Bangs are usually long enough for him to tuck back, but occasionally he'll have to pin them with elegant hair clips.
Skin: Brown/Terra-cotta--Copper/orange-red undertones.
Facial Features
Heart Shape. Has charmingly youthful, effeminate features and has an easy sensuality about him. Eyes are bright and almond-shaped; framed with extremely long eyelashes and high-arching brows. His cheekbones are excellent, and he has a wide mouth with full lips. His nose is refined but sloped, and his jawline is very pointy. Often characterized as "exotic", which is only true in that he's currently residing much farther from his homeland than the rest of them.
Identifying Characteristics
He has some tattoos marking his matron caravan--the Clan of the Primrose--and tattoos his mother gave him once he became "of age", in addition to other significant tattoos as well as several ear piercings and a nose ring. All of which have cultural implications; some he'll tell you about, others are for him and his mother, and others are meant for others of his culture alone.
Special abilities
He's a talented storyteller, singer, and musician. He specializes in the lute, but he can pick up almost instrument and with enough fiddling, he can get out a decent tune. Give him enough time and he'll fool you into thinking he's played it his whole life.
Apparel & Accessories
He dresses extremely well when he's given the means to. He's something of a chameleon and can adapt and conform his appearance to any situation, which is assisted by the fact that he's rather androgynous-looking, leaning toward the feminine side of things. When given the chance, he accents his looks with make-up, jewelry, and by wearing bright colors and flattering clothing. He dresses like a flamboyant, attention-seeking songbird, which is quite fitting.
Flamboyant, with bright colors and outlandish styles--things that say "Look at me! I'm interesting!". He's much like a peacock in that sense. Usually very loose, and leaving large patches of skin bare. The word that comes to mind is either "exotic" or "manwhore" depending on who you ask. He has to be bullied into wearing more modest/less eye-catching clothing when travelling, but he hates it. He definitely prefers finer clothing and styles. He also wears a chain shirt beneath his clothes while travelling, at Tamara's insistence, mainly. He doesn't care for it: ergo why, when traveling, he wears robes that conceal the fact that he's wearing armor at all.

History
Tamara doesn’t remember much about meeting Arturo (they'd both been very young at the time) except that she punched him upon meeting him and he cried, which is rather indicative of their personalities. They grew up together, and wherever Tamara went, Arturo wasn’t far behind.

Arturo is terribly romantic at heart, which is hard at times since he’s basically been in love with Tamara ever since she first punched him in the face. He understands and knows that she’ll never feel the same way, but it doesn’t stop the occasional jealous streak getting the better of him whenever she picks up a new lover. Instead he focuses on the beauty of their friendship, and expresses his adoration for her through song and tales of her deeds, which he’s being doing since childhood—and decided that when she started training to be a warrior, he was going to keep doing just that, as her bard.
