Tamara Chikke (a.k.a. Dragonsbane's Vengenance)
"This here is Tamara, Dragonsbane’s Vengeance. A powerful woman rival to even the goddess of war herself; mercenary and dragon-slayer, with eyes steel enough to pierce you to your very core. Woe to any who cross her and don’t subsequently subjugate themselves to her mercy.” - Arturo Gellantara
Physical Description
Mesomorph. Powerful build. She is incredibly athletic, and it shows. She is the epitome of what every body-builder wants to achieve; she is almost literally entirely composed of big bones and bigger muscles. There's very little fat on her body, resulting in a flatter chest and posterior due to becoming subsumed by her muscles. She reigns tall and proud in her hulking physique, with broad shoulders and equally broad hips, with terrifyingly muscular legs and arms to match. She has a six-pack, and her back muscles aren't to be scoffed at.
Skin: Dark Brown/Umber--Blue-Red/Pink undertones. Clear skin.
Hair: Black; naturally very coarse and tightly curled, which she keeps in long dreads, easy enough to tie together and keep out of the way.
Square Face. Very powerful, broad and square features. Has a strong, flatter nose and high square cheekbones. Staggeringly strong jaw-line and full lips. Has a perpetual neutral expression that looks akin to a cold stare. Has keen, almond-shaped eyes
She doesn't give a damn about her appearance. She wears plain, clean, "masculine" clothing.
Breast-plate
Bastard-sword crafted for her by her mother: the Dragonsbane

Mental characteristics
Tamara’s mother was a blacksmith, and her father was part of the ranch family that traded in horses, but both served terms in the town’s militia, inspiring Tamara’s sense of honor and duty from an early age. When she was very young, a caravan of nomads from The Barrens came through Wayfarer’s Point, and Celestina Abano, a single mother with her son, Arturo. So charmed she was by the welcoming nature of the town and reassured by its defensible walls, that she decided to stay. Jengo and Farai offered their homes in exchange for Celestina aid in watching their daughter, and the deal was done.
Then, on one fateful day, Gamil (Cooper) Dragonsbane came into town, a renowned adventurer famous for what his title suggests, wishing to retire and to settle down, and Wayfarer’s Point became home for him. Many of the town’s children pestered him, asking to hear stories or asking to learn how to fight, and while he often indulged them, he refused to take on apprentices. Tamara, however, was determined. Despite her callous and unflappable personality, she had been deeply moved by his stories, and felt herself wishing to have similar adventures—her world felt far too small in the face of such grandeur.
At some point, after several months of pleading (or Arturo pleading on her behalf, because he supported the idea whole-heartedly), and hovering around him like a shadow, he gave in, and agreed to train her in how to fight.
And so for years she grew, learning and growing and becoming more powerful, but she never lost sight of her family, and was keenly aware of how she was needed here; she helped on her father’s ranch, served terms in the militia as soon as she became of age, but she was itching to do something more.
Her chance came when soldiers from Rowan came to Wayfarer’s Point, asking for aid in exterminating a rogue orc camp that had been razing their fields, and Tamara volunteered. Arturo went along despite the protests of, well, everyone involved, but he proved himself and the validity of the training he’d been undertaking in order to help, and they were victorious.
When they returned, however, Tamara was informed that Dragonsbane had been assassinated; ruthlessly killed in his sleep, and she was determined to find his killer. So she hitched a ride with the next caravan, Arturo dutifully following along beside her, both of them knowing they’d never find out who it was if they stayed in one place. So, dubbed “Dragonsbane’s Vengeance” by Arturo, they began their wandering, taking occasional jobs here in there, but no matter what mission they were on, Tamara’s goal has been the same. And along the way, they found a name: Achilla Boneslayer.
They joined up with The Wayfarers a year or so ago (Arturo was the one to name them), as they’d found themselves on the same path, trying to hunt down a hired killer, but for different purposes. It’d hadn’t been the one Tamara was looking for, but she recognized the resources Dimitri and Naira had to offer as both nobles and representatives of the church, and took Naira up on her offer to join them.

History
Tamara doesn’t remember much about meeting Arturo (they'd both been very young at the time) except that she punched him upon meeting him and he cried, which is rather indicative of their personalities. They grew up together, and wherever Tamara went, Arturo wasn’t far behind.
Nicknames & Petnames
Arturo will often fondly call Tamara his "knight," and will often refer to himself as her bard.
Relationship Reasoning
Arturo is terribly romantic at heart, which is hard at times since he’s basically been in love with Tamara ever since she first punched him in the face. He understands and knows that she’ll never feel the same way, but it doesn’t stop the occasional jealous streak getting the better of him whenever she picks up a new lover. Instead he focuses on the beauty of their friendship, and expresses his adoration for her through song and tales of her deeds, which he’s being doing since childhood—and decided that when she started training to be a warrior, he was going to keep doing just that, as her bard.
