Culture, Power, Riches,... Humans had it all, that is until a catastrophic event which caused the shatter of Human Space and their species as a whole.
While the future may seem bleak, Humans are still going strong as a species no longer restricted by their own borders. Through its uncanny determination and other factors, Humanity keeps moving forward. Indeed, for Human culture and influence is very much still present and impacted the Milky Way's other species through food, technology & clothing.
So yes, Humans have it bad, but they're not entirely lost. Human mercenary companies have become prominent in the Galaxy next to Penguin & Thelusian companies.
