Pioneer into the unknown

The first battle of the expedition starts, with the mass torrent of magical energy flooding into the area, the first group of pioneers are all split into groups across what quickly turns into a battlefield.

There were many flaws that troubled the process of the long-range teleportation into the unknown area, one particular flaw was the exponential increase of resources required to be able to send larger groups of people and items both; this particular challenge resolved by sending two groups in quick succession to the mainland, although this operation would prove challengingly chaotic when no two teleportations would target the same direct area.   The greeting of the mainland unto these initial adventurers was simple, brutal, and violent - with the mutated fauna constantly harrying them - it was quickly shown that while they could beat off one initial force, there would always come another, and another, and even with Ali's abjurative markings and manipulations there was no true method of certifying that they would remain uninjured, and with the growing need to find the second party, this group would set out from the area they were in.   Tightly knit, Cassandra, Vivian, and Griselda would reave the enemy forces with brute force, whilst Gallow's strategies would encourage powerful strikes and defensive positions ensuring that with the additional support of Pennie, they moved effectively, and hunted around for the various magical auras that were burgeoning in the area, and quickly discovering one similar to that which had teleported them there.   This activity was akin to a beacon, and lasting longer than the one they had caused, this second group was attracting an increased amount of attention, where they would find strange creatures martialling their fellows into more strategic behaviors. First attacking these creatures, they would unbind the creatures from their control, and thus rendering wild - would quickly flee in fear from the chaos of the site.
