Order of the Tall Brother

An order of paladins founded by the great dragonborn warrior Fairadeh "Freddy" The Protector.  According to the official history of the order, Freddy earned the moniker "Tall Brother" after liberating a tribe of kobolds from Drow enslavement during his crusade against Lloth, the Spider Queen.  He nobly sacrificed himself, buying the Four Heroes enough time to rally the gods against Lloth and destroy her, banishing the Spider Queen from this plane of existence.
The order's main stronghold is called The Bulwark and is located on the island of Cassius.  Publicly, the order aspires to emulate the virtues of the Tall Brother, opposing the machinations of Lloth and the Drow, and smiting evil wherever it takes hold.  The Church of Krom has decreed these values align with the teachings of Krom and have allowed the order to establish a small outpost in the capital city, Hadrianus.
Paladins within the Order of the Tall Brother are mostly dragonborn, although they will let other races join their ranks if they demonstrate sufficient martial talent and a zeal for smiting evil.  In Cassisus accepting members who are not dragonborn is extremely rare.  However, in Hadrianus the practice has become more commonplace, as the order continues to grow and few dragonborn call the continent home.
Although accepted by the Church of Krom, the true motivations of the order are unclear, and powerful figures loyal to both the Emperor and the Senate distrust them.  During the recent schism between the Church and the Emperor The Order of the Tall Brother remained neutral, refusing to lend their martial talents to either side.  Marshal Daar Silverscales, head of the Order in Hadrianus, is being pressured by both sides to publicly declare his support for their cause.
