The Child

Name Unknown

The Child is a naturally gifted Sorcerer, and can already cast high level spells but lacks the ability to control her powers. She has no memory of her birth parents, and was raised by a group of Elven wanderers that found her in the woods after The Cheat opened up several portals to other realms. These Elves were killed by the The Brotherhood of Burnination in one of their raids and the child was taken captive. When stressed, her power manifested and she cast Power Word: Kill on one of the Brotherhood’s ogres and slayed him instantaneously. The Brotherhood Battle Mage overseeing the slaver operation recognized the power within The Child and pledged to bring her to Trogdor.
The Child was freed by the party from the slavers and brought to the Djarin camp in the Exiled Wastes. The Djarin believe she is the key to finding their lost king Deleanor Djarin  and reclaiming their city, Korribon , from the Empire.

Personal history

Unbeknownst to anyone on this plane, and to The Child herself, she is actually the spawn of a powerful demon and a powerful celestial. Her mother and father are on the run from enforcers of both the upper and lower planes, well aware that their child will either be destroyed or harnessed by whichever side finds her to upset the balance of the planes. Both parents hope to either end the war between the planes, or at the very least, keep it from spilling into the mortal realms.

Mental Trauma

The Child is aware she is not from this plane of existence, and has vague memories of her mother and father.  She becomes extremely attached to any parental figures in her life.

Intellectual Characteristics

The Child is naturally curious and generally oblivious to danger she might be in. She is constantly hungry, and after learning to survive in the wild with her Elven stewards, will eat just about anything she can get her hands on.

When her life is danger, her inherent power will manifest in the form of a powerful spell, but use of the spell drains her and she sleeps for almost an entire day once a spell is cast.

When threatened she will retreat toward the nearest adult she sees as a protector.
