Xanthalos

Xanthalos is a Death Tyrant, or undead beholder, that claims to have slaughtered the Eladrin who lived in Danathar, the ruined city beneath Nikea.  Whether he's telling the truth or is utterly delusional is impossible to tell.  He is bound to Danathar's ruins after being summoned by the Arch Magus to guard his lair and is quite unhappy being a glorified guard dog for an inferior being.  
Xanthalos struck a deal with the Scions of Hersey.  He allowed them safe passage into the Arch Magus's lair.  In exchange, they were to kill Theodosius Nomikos and the Arch Magus, and bring him Bonesaw's short sword.  He wasn't clear why he wanted the sword, but it is clear he thinks getting his stalks on the sword is important.
