Crown's Rest
Crown's rest is one of the largest cities in the kingdoms and serves as the capital of the Lower Lands. The castle and the upper districts stand atop a series of cliffs while the rest of the city is surrounded by massive yellow brick walls. Tourism in the city is higher than in any other, this is due to the fact that it lies in the centre of the crownroad, the safest road to travel which runs between the Sidion capital of Riverwin and the Lavian capital of Newtown. The city is controlled by House Leowen with High-King Leobert the Liberator as the current king with his son High-Prince Leonell I in line to succeed him.
The Lion's Den: The castle from which the High-King rules over the Crownlands and the rest of the Lower Lands. It stands upon the top of the Crownhill looking out over the city and the lands that surround it. Inside its walls is the Fanged Throne which is the symbol of absolute power in the Lower Land Alliance and one of the nine royal thrones.
The Goldenhoard: The richest market place in the city, most festivals are held around here and the location of many of the major buildings of the city such as the Allcathedral and the Archives.
The Allcathedral: The main seat of the church of the Allmother, the Broken Moon. A massive structure surrounded by a myriad of towers each representing one of the Gods. The centre of the main building has a broken roof where the moon can be seen from in its entirety on the night of the Newturn.
The Archives: A massive library where most of the knowledge of the region is stored. It is manned by a guild of scribes known as the Archivists.
Points of Intrest
The Tower of the Broken Moon: A large cylindrical tower with a massive Crystal shard floating on top surrounded by small, floating moonstones. This is one of the two shards keeping the magic of the Lower Lands alive, the other being in the city of Fillandrel. The tower itself is surrounded by a magic forcefield, preventing any non-approved outsiders from entering it unapproved.The Lion's Den: The castle from which the High-King rules over the Crownlands and the rest of the Lower Lands.
