Mother Idal was a Night Hag lurking on the outer edges of Holdenglade. Constantly brooding alone in her tea house on the corner of the street, she used her witchcraft to give card readings and scryings to those that paid her, though the shop was only ever open at night. Soon after she got involved with Zelèna De La Vére's disappearance, she was contacted by the Masters of the Nine Elements, and made quick acquaintances. However, her coalition was swiftly proved false when she was caught contacting Barontyne by Heato. She then tried to manipulate him into joining her and the Empire in promise of finding his friends locked up in Terren. Heato said that he would consider her offer but later decided he would stick with the party, who, after sieging Holdenglade, put out a formal request to Anton to snuff the Hag.
