ASPIRANT - At 12 years old the Acolye is given their first set of armor and will be sent as a group to complete a quest
BLOODLESS - At 15 Lineage Seekers will examine the surviving Aspirants and determine which Lineage they will join
INITIATE - At 18 Bloodless will be Initiated into the lineage of which they were chosen, and if they survive the ritual, then they will be trained on the Lineage's battle tactics.
KNIGHT - At around 20 the Initiate will have fully completed their training, which then most Lineages will have another ceremony as a "Final Test," after which they will be a Knight of Heverion.
REVERENT - Each squad mate proves their worth in battle, however the best fighter in the squad becomes the Reverent, a position which helps keep the other squad mates in line. The Reverent will partake in activities such as battlefield Prayer, and the maintaining of squad Morale.
SERGEANT - Each squad is led by a Sergeant, of which he is responsible for ensuring supplies, and proper equipment of the squad. The Sergeant reports to Centurions when his squad needs items or orders, and will always lead his squadmates battle.
CENTURION - When a Sergeant has shown his competency in battle, or when a current Centurion dies, they will be promoted to Centurion. The Centurion will manage the squads in his Century, including marching distances, rationing supplies, and advising the legion's Legatus.
SEEKER - Chosen from the Centurions, Seekers are the disciplinarians of the army. They exist to make sure every Knight stays faithful to Heverion and their duty, also they will have ensure training and recruitment of new Knights into the Lineage. Seekers also ensure Morale among the troop and will often times be the leader of inspired charges.
LEGATUS - The Legatus is chosen from Centurions and will lead his Legions into battle at the request of the Lineage Ancient. Often times there will only be three Legates to a Lineage and the entire Lineage is split among them.
HONOR GUARD - Lineage Legates will pick especially outstanding Reverents to train to be the Lineage Ancient's Honor Guard. One of the highest titles a knight can earn, since they will be working directly with the Lineage Ancient and will often times be put in the thick of battle.
LINEAGE CHAMPION - Each Lineage has their own traditions leading in very different directions, however one constant among them all is the Lineage Champion. This Knight is picked directly from the Honor Guard by the Lineage Ancient, of which the knight will always have proven themselves in battle, being the best in their Lineage they are honored by carrying the Banner of his Lineage. This is the Highest honor to some, and second highest to others, for being chosen as the Lineage Champion means you will represent your Lineage in Tournaments, and on the battlefield.
LINEAGE ANCIENT - A survivor of many battles, dedicated to the preservation of the Lineage's traditions and culture, the Lineage Ancient is typically the oldest member of the Lineage. However, these Ancients report directly to Tertius and assign orders to their Legates at their own discretion. Accompanied by his Honor Guard and Lineage Champion, the Lineage Ancient will often be seen on the battlefield issuing orders that trickle down the chain to the Sergeant. Ancients can appoint their successor, or if not the Lineage can function without one, however if a Lineage has no successor the three Legates will choose one, with Seekers serving as tiebreakers. Although often times the Lineage will simply go on without a Lineage Ancient and whenever a "Rank" of Knights comes down to the final survivor they will be appointed Lineage Ancient by default.
RANK - A group of Acolytes that extend from their acceptance as an Acolyte until the final survivor of the Rank dies.
SQUAD - A group of 20 Knights
CENTURY - A group of 10 Squads
LEGION - A group of 40 Centuries
LINEAGE - A group of Legions specialized in a certain role in order to ensure acceptance and coherency among the troops.
Public Agenda
The Knights of Heverion get their orders from Tertius, Imperator of The Knights of Heverion, however Tertius receives his orders directly from Priamus. When 'The Counsel' is held, both Secundus and Tertius will recieve commandments from Priamus, in which they will return and give these orders to the Lineage Ancients, to coordinate and carry out. Priamus' Commandments come directly from Heverion because Priamus communicates with Heverion daily to ensure his will is carried out.
Assets
The supply of equipment for Heverion's armies are nearly endless, as they have the full support of the grandest kingdom Avanchizal has ever seen. Their armor and weapons are made from the metal called Thakyrium, the strongest metal to be found in Avanchizal, and no one but the smiths in Drek' Thylor understand how to make this durable material.
History
Founded by Arctulius 1500 years ago, these Knights have fought to claim this world for humanity since. However with the war between elves and humans ending 800 years ago the world has become complacent with the uneasy peace currently. The Knights never rest, and will one day march their banners across the entirety of Avanchizal...
