United Earth Kingdom
The United Earth Kingdom (sometimes also known as The United Earth Kingdoms or UEK for short) is a confederation of many small kingdoms and city-states which pledge allegiance to a single High Earth King. The United Earth Kingdom covers much of the Earth Mainland and holds the majority of the Earth's population.
The United Earth Kingdom traces its roots back to the very beginning of recorded history. Though the United Earth Kingdom has not always existed in its present form, many of the various kingdoms and city-states which make up the UEK originate from the earliest settlements of humans when they departed off the backs of lion turtles. The peoples of the UEK are proud of their history
The majority of the people in the UEK live in rural environments and subsist on a agricultural lifestyle. Nevertheless, some of the greatest architects of urban development in the world have originated from the great cities of the UEK, including architects hired by the Fire Nation.
Author's Note
Keep in mind that, technically, PotL takes place before the official "political establishment of the nations." (See Legend of Korra, Ch.22). Therefore, the UEK is very loose in its structure, and the kingdoms contained within the UEK are very autonomous.United in Stone
