Disruption Field
Utility
Disruption Fields have become commonplace on modern battlefields after the use of teleportation and phase weapons began to became increasingly common. The field is generated by an often internal generator which projects the field through the hull as a conductor or through designated projection device for less advanced species such as the Walren. The purpose of these fields is to use a usually invisible field of several different energies to accomplish several things: prevent objects from being phased or teleported into the vehicle, help protect against lasers or other beam based weaponry, and to prevent the whole vehicle itself from being teleported to a different location by enemy forces. These devices are most often seen on armored ground vehicles such as tanks and IFVs, but can also be found on aircraft and even space vessels.
Access & Availability
The Saurian Empire and Eternal Walren Empire are the most common users of this technology as they are the most likely targets for the attacks Disruption Fields are used to defend against. The Basilikaar Dynasty also utilizes a variation of this technology quite often.
