Failed Coup on Baldur's Gate

The players schemed with others in an attempt to seize power from parts of leadership of Baldur's Gate, revealing their intentions and ambition. The rulers of the city are corrupt and are suspected to be dealing with dark forces that have evil intentions. Innocent lives are being taken, sacrifices being made and horrible decisions are leading to questionable actions within the Gate.
With the armed forces mainly consisting of the mercenary group Flaming Fist, the members of the coup thought they could break through their fragile allegiance to the city. However, they underestimated the amount of money the city leaders promised to the Fist. Their loyalty is a bit stronger than expected.
