Archaon (Ar-Kay-On)
While Iekon is the center of good's order and where the gods of structure and defined concepts make their home, Archaon is far different. It is a plane bustling with life and constantly everchanging. The spirits and celestials of Archaon are those on the side of good who were ever changing, never letting the laws of country or society stop them from doing everything they could to help others. But this land is still scarred by the events of the Blood War and the invasion by the X'ith'ila. What could once be described as an infinite planet is instead a scattered amount of domains orbiting around the magical core, burning every brighter despite all the harm that has come to it. Displaying that even scarred and bruised, good can still shine a light into the darkness.
Geography
Instead of being forged from concepts of Lords and Gods, Archaon is forged about aspects of life itself. These regions everexpansive spheres in of themselves, perhaps even infinite if one does not head in the right direction. The notable regions are:
- The Hall of Skill: In this domain, a massive tavern exists for warriors who died are able to drink, feast, and brawl to their heart's content when they aren't sent out by the might Celestial Lords. Even gods of war find themselves here to test each other and to make it their home. However, there are also those who focused on their skills, especially smiths and architects as they go through tests of skill. Kashir, Barina, Kaxir, Tharn, Karo, and other gods of conflict and craft are found here. Around the tavern is a massive field that shifts in sections for battlegrounds that one would want to fight whether rolling plains, towering mountians, or even the depths of the sea.
- The Heart of Nature: The Heart shows a world where nature is allowed to grow without issue. Forests, plains, montainous terrain all overlapping with each other and teaming life. Deep lakes and seas that turn into oceans filled with life. Even underground areas that glow with biolumisince organisms. And spirits of those who died in service to nature or gods who enjoy it. L'nor the Field mother and Kalida Yaru are two notable gods who live in this domain.
- The Infinite Depths: The infinity of Archaon doesn't just go on the surface but below as well. For spirits of the afterlife who were drawn by exploration and gods who seek out the unknown regions, this is a place for them to keep busy in-between their adventures. Even living adventurers make their way to the Infinite Depths. Anything can be found here: refleections of cities lost to the ages, caverns and chasms that could take days to traverse, and even calm respites denizens have mad ea permanant fixture through mapping out the area. Vana the Explorer is one of the notable gods in this region.
- The Unfinished Canvas: The canvas is a blank landscape where one's thoughts and actions can make reality. Spirits and celestials who had a love of arts and craft are found here, creating works of art that they desperately tried to make in life or to bid time until they are suffused into the plane and reincarnated into their next life. There are constant old works of art all over from the eons this plane has existed but it will always be unfinished.
- The Endless City: A place for those who were tied deeply to some community in life or who don't fit the mold for the notable domains of Archaon. A city that stretches horizontally and vertically. Where all needs are cared for because everyone will do what they can for each other. That is the Endless City. Spirits of those who were tied heavily to community or do not fit into the other domains come here. It even serves as a refuse for those who have no home across the physical plane. Bruna the Hearthwife is a prominent goddess in the region.
- The Arcane Core: In the center of Archaon is its heart. A beating orb of powerful magic of divine, primal, and arcane origins. Here, spirits of spellcasters and celestials tied to the magical arts study and learn all they can about the mysteries of the universe. Lira the Mystic is known to spend her time here.
History
Archaon was formed long before mortalkind first existed. It was inhabited by the chaotic celestials who called it home before the gods found their way there. And eventually, when mortalkind gained souls, the Raven Queen sent spirits of those who died with ideals fit for the realm. During the Blood War, Archaon was the front lines of the defense of the realms of good when the Demons cracked open the realm but did not destroy it thankfully. Even during the war agaisnt the X'ith'ila, the realm survived and even in its fractured state continues to grow stronger and maybe one day merge back together once more.
