Queen of Night
The Nation of Night is, since 1500, a democratic republic.
When a member of the Nanos branch of the Divine Family or a son/daughter of either the High House of Prudence or Bravery, the Head of State is called the King of Night. When not, which never yet happened, is called the President of Night.
The elections are held every ten years.
In the beginning of Magic Conscience, the ruler was traditionally the oldest son of the High House of Bravery. Later, after the marriage between Sono de Prudência and Nanos, became the eldest child of their descendants. In both cases, the consort had equal rule over the Nation of Night. It was only with King Pietrum Nanos that the rule changed from hereditary to elective, as the sorcerers had petitioned for decades.
Once elected, the King/Queen hold their title for the rest of their lifetime, and can be called to serve the Nation of Night anytime.
The ruler must be either a Sorcerer or a Demigod.
