Nation of Night

It is the rule of the Isle of Night.

Structure

The Nation of Night is, since 1500, a democratic republic.
When a member of the Nanos branch of the Divine Family or a son/daughter of either the High House of Prudence or Bravery, the Head of State is called the King of Night. When not, which never yet happened, they are called the President of Night.
The elections are held every ten years.

Culture

The Coat of Arms was redesigned then, upon the marriage of Sono of Prudence to Nanos, in order to include both family lines. For this, to the imperial eagle, the Dragon of Ellys was added, as well as the lotus and moon, symbols of inspiration that are important to the sorcerers. They decided to also include a reference to the Moon Knights on their heraldry, as the sorcerer nation was deeply connected with the military order.


The Motto dro mi Kasßi Na Elyno was added with Queen Catezira of Prudence Nanos and means "Protect and Respect Holy Mind".

History

Sorcery's History

In Pre-history, the Isle of Night was a colony of the Kingdom of Reason. Later, after the Magic Conscience, it received an independent rule under the High House of Bravery. However, the Bravery remained submissive to Prudence. In c.900, the then King of Reason Sono of Prudence, having fallen in love with Goddess Nanos, decided to come live close to her in Esteltonne, from where he could see her across the sea in floating Leddíntonne. That decision caused the rule of the Isle of Night to once again fall under the High House of Prudence, and the isle became then the capital of the Sorcerers.
