Clan Gobi
Clan Gobi is one of the five great hobgoblin clans of the Hobgoblin Khanate of southern Tarteria. Clan Gobi holds the lands surrounding Monbaraba, located in the central region of the Monbaraba Fields.
Grand Khan Brodur is the current leader of the khanate, making Clan Gobi the most prominent and powerful of the five great clans.
Description
Clan Gobi holds the lands surrounding Monbaraba, the current capital of the Hobgoblin Khanate. The clan is wide-ranging and encompasses several family lines and the Clan Gobi legion. The hobgoblin capital of Monbaraba is located centrally where the southern tip of the Orc Highway meets the Ruby Road. The central fields of the hobgoblin lands are a rolling landscape of hills and wilds. The clan's legion defends the areas of the road near to Monbaraba, but even still, the Ruby Road is long and wild, and safe passage is not guaranteed. Grand Khan Brodur defends the lands of his people with a virtuous hand and a bloodied saber. He is recognized as the leader of the other khans after defeating them in ritual combat to prove his superiority, and he left each of the other four alive. This was instrumental in building bonds between them rather than resentment, which historically had caused more infighting and instability in the overall khanate. Grand Khan Brodur has defied the traditionally hobgoblin approach to ruling. Taking a more calm and steady approach, he often brings in the opinions of the other clans across the region.Locations
