High King Bharadrin Goldroar
Dwarf Monarch
High King Bharadrin Goldroar was a historic dwarf monarch of Endor, the First Mountain, and he became the first High King of the Kingdom of Endor after unifying the karaks of Karak Endor, Karak Azgal, and Karak Thrund early in the Third Age.
Biography
Bharadrin Goldroar became the ruling king of Endor, the First Mountain, at some point near the end of the Second Age. During the events at the end of the Age of the Severance when the Dragons first emerged, Esturk, The World's End, attacked Azimuth, and Zenthai, The Dragon King, descended to face him. They battled in the skies above Azimuth for twelve days and nights, until Zenthai emerged victorious and Esturk fled to the Divine Plane. This battle was witnessed by Bharadrin. It was seen as an auspicious sign, and it left a strong impression on the monarch. The early Third Age saw dwarven expansion in the region. Bharadrin would go on to consolidate the rule of the three major karaks West of Gimora Mountains: Karak Endor, Karak Azgal, and Karak Thrund. This event was the founding of the Kingdom of Endor. After the founding of the kingdom, Bharadrin commissioned the Doors of Goldroar for the main entrance of Karak Endor. Bharadrin's order called for a set of doors "fit for a city of kings" designed after the first battle of Zenthai and Esturk.Character Information
