Personal history
Aelswith Eilsvirr is the only child of Laelafae Eilsviir, a Drow from the Underdark, and a Human ranger originally from Mettenheim named Jackdaw Sarks.
While her parents had a very real connection, they did not marry, and never lived together. While Laelafae loved Jackdaw and his sharp mind and his quiet, clever manner, she found human culture distasteful and elected to keep Aelswith with her underground. Jackdaw made regular visits to his young daughter, bringing her trinkets and tokens from all the places he explored - these are some of her most treasured possessions still.
Lalelafae died of an unknown illness when Aelswith was 8, and from that time, she was raised on the road by Jackdaw. Aelswith doesn't remember much about her mother anymore, but she does know that she loved to listen to her sing and tell stories.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Aelswith is not heterosexual and does not feel an impeding biological need to produce her own children, but she does want a family of her own one day, and has great compassion for those who are displaced, for those who are from two worlds or don’t quite have a “real” home.
Aelswith is not religious herself but respects the major belief systems of those in her party. She doesn’t mind looking different from most elves or half-elves, but she really does consider herself to be more Drow than human, due to her very early years formative years being spent in the underdark.
Aelswith's greatest unspoken fear is that she'll forget her mother completely, and that she won't be able to go back to where she was raised and feel at home there again, since she's spent so much time "up in the world" now.
