Kastinople

Kastinople is a large and tropical city that acts as the current capital of the New Melentine Empire. So named after its founder, Senator Kastinian of Izz, it has flourished under the Titus Dynasty.

Demographics

Kastinople is a vastly diverse city, on par with the city of Refuge, City of Mists, and The Aurumfels. It contains siazable populations of most demographics, even Alantrians , though whether these populatyions are free or slave depends on the city quarter.

Infrastructure

Kastinople is inspired by architectural models and styles from the Old Tremalking Empire to create its own unique type of architecture. The influence of the New Melentine architecture and art can be seen in the copies taken from it throughout the continent. Particular examples include St Beoccin's Basilica in Leporus, the basilicas of the City of Roses, and many churches throughout the eastern coasts. Also, alone in Tremalking until the third decade Refugean coinage, the Empire continued to produce sound gold coinage, the Royal becoming prized throughout the first century. Its city walls are widely imitated and its urban infrastructure is moreover a marvel throughout the Fifth Age, keeping alive the art, skill and technical expertise of the Old Melentine Empire.
