The First Fall

Originally referred to solely as The Fall, it was a time when the Age of Myths and Legends came to an end. It marks the end of the Second Age, and the beginning of the Third Age.
Much about the history of the First Fall is left to mystery, due to the lack of written first hand documentation.
What is known is that the Sundered first came to Azure at this time, causing apocalyptic chaos and destruction in the name of their deity the Nongod. To halt the wanton destruction, the creators sacrificed themselves and forged a planet wide barrier that prevented the Sundered from crossing over from The Outside, halting the Sunderedtide and saving what was left of life on Azure.
It wouldnt be for another 1900 years before the Sundered reemerged to plague the world once more, causing the The Fourth Age sky bound phenomenon called The Bruise.
Due to the events of the First Fall, the creators no longer spoke to their creations; prayers went unanswered, miracles were no longer performed, and no new created species were developed.
The surviving mortals of the world found themselves on a barren, forsaken planet, and would have surely perished, if not for the intervention of another Created Race, the Vanir.
Slowly over the first few decades life bloomed again on Azure, but the twilight of the creators caused much strife amongst the survivors.
