Azure, so named by the Elves when they arrived in system as "A marvelous marble the color of deepest azure", is the sight of many cosmic events. It is where the Sundered advance was halted during the Second Fall, it is where The Nongod and the Nemesis were slain, where the god Domination was bound, and also where the new cosmic Pantheon was formed, centered on the city of Refuge.
A small planet with a circumference of 15,000 miles, (roughly 60 percent earths circumference), it never the less has a gravity of about 7/10ths to that of earth; that is due to the fact that it has a higher mass to its size compared to earths. This could be due to the high amounts of heavy metals within the planets core. it also has more landmass per square inch than earth does, though it still has vast seas and oceans.
Azure is located farther away from its native sun, meaning the poles are much larger, and the tropics much smaller comparative to earth.
Azure has one moon named Lunys, though it is more commonly just called the moon, and one sun commonly just referred to as the Sun.
There are four continents on the planet; the Western Continent of Tremalking, the Central Continent of Midway, the smaller continent of Indus, and the far eastern continent of Alantris.
Under the surface, Azure is honeycombed by a vast subterranean network of caves called the Ways, its massive caverns and underground rivers, and lakes combined can be considered a fifth continent.
There are dozens of nations and cultures along the planets surface, with hundreds of thousands of different species of plants and fauna, both sapient and non sapient, native and non native.
The largest body of water is the Melentine Ocean, the largest hot desert is the D'shar Desert, the largest forest is the Zulucan, the longest mountain range is the The Dwarven Marches, and the tallest peak is the Evermore, located in the Dwarven Marches.
