Charo
Charo is a highly respected Aravun Yashelin literary scholar, social activist, and stalwart member of the Zezu Flock's Council of Five. Over the course of Charo's life, they have bound more books than most people can conceive of, written many fewer books than that, and edited many more than the previous two pursuits combined.
Although they work in Heshi Ariko, they commute everyday from their cozy home in Shushani Pithin which they share with three elderly pet dragons. Charo claims that they live in Shushani Pithin because their pets prefer the warmer weather, yet they often travel to work with Charo anyway.
They are a passionate consumer of literature through and through, a passion which only naturally bleeds into their personal life as well. On a professional as well as personal level, they have their finger on the literary pulse of the Yashelin, quite a few Fas gens, and even select Kivrian communities.
Controversy
Charo's voracious literary appetite and socially progressive activism has caused problems in their personal life. Examples include, but are unfortunately not limited to:- Dissolving their long-standing intimate relationship with Domini because of their conflicting political beliefs,
- Becoming the wanuye of Maikir in the years leading up to Areta regaining their memories of the Astris Genocide,
- Editing and possibly authoring culturally contentious materials in the years leading up to Aravun Civil War, and
- Halting the downward spiral towards severe media censorship in its tracks during a trial intended to exile them for said contentious materials.
