William Talbot

At a very early age William learned the importance of working hard and having a good understanding of the rules. Growing up in a crime ridden neighborhood he had to struggle to survive and saw many of his peers turn to crime as their way out. It did not help that it seemed law enforcement would turn a blind eye to the struggles of his neighborhood but suddenly become eagle eyed when their was a crime committed when he or his friends visited other neighborhoods. Wanting to better himself he worked to pay for law school and utilized athletic scholarships to assist his rise to prominence. His goal to become a more tolerant but just face for the legal system.
His passion and long hours paid off with a law degree, degree in business and law enforcement. He worked to reform legal systems as he rose and ended up gaining the attention of the FBI. Whether it was a legitimate offer or an opportunity for positive press hiring a minority, Talbot would not let his mission be dismissed. In a few years time he found himself head of a task force to deal with the Slappers crime spree which seemed to be growing. He ensured his team was qualified but individuals others might not have considered at a first pass. For all his efforts it seemed the investigations were not getting results. So when a discussion from the higher ups came for him to consider early retirement he was initially reluctant but eventually agreed after the arrest of Eric Harmon. He felt it was proof of internal corruption but he could not get any proof from within the agency as it seemed eyes were always upon him.
Though retired he has not stopped working. His public image is head of a law firm focusing on identifying legal lapses especially with minority clients. Within these confines he has financed his own private investigation organization to look into the slappers and other situations, and perhaps even find the corruption within the FBI. He has even managed to gain the help unofficially of Sofia Fairchild to assist in these efforts. He has also offered to hire Eric in uncovering information on these and other matters which impact the safety of the citizens of New York.
