FBI

The Federal Bureau of Investigations became aware of Slappers after suspicious deaths abroad of known drug smugglers. The link was not discovered until the deep cover agent Decon learned from former leader of the Sharks gang that slappers was a growing problem and the competition was being edged out, and anyone who tries to take it abroad ends up "feet first." It seemed the slappers trade lead back to New York but that's where the trail seemed to get cold.   Newly appointed Director William Talbot who had been crucial in helping bring down the Sharks was appointed to a department to bring the slappers actions to a stop. Talbot created his Slappers Drug Task force selected operatives from across departments to assist in the effort including Decon, Nick Valentine, Sofia Fairchild, Eric Harmon and the man who later replace him Jacob Kane to be his right hand man in operations. Leads were followed diligently but just as quickly would go dry or vanish without warning. Suspicions of internal corruption grew as it seemed the slappers agents seemed to know when they were being investigated or when a bust was being put in action. This all came to a head with the arrest of Eric who many believed was the inside man. This prompted an internal investigation and reassignment of agents, moving Kane into position of director with William Talbot retiring. Further reassignments went with Nick Valentine transferring to Internal Affairs, though appeared a voluntary move on his part. After his debriefing from deep cover, Decon was moved onto other investigations. Agent Harding was brought in   The department had a big break when a drug distribution center Club Paradise was recently discovered. Though the discovery of two of the original task force in the hospital has as much spread the flames of suspicion as the bust has done to try calm things.
