If this quote doesn't fit perfectly with the theme of the February challenges? Curiosities and ducks - what a combination!
In the WA challenge, I was very happy that just one item for the curiosities was enough to win the badge. Because I have to admit that after Worldember and the reading challenge in January, I lacked the motivation to contribute more. In addition, in 2024 I decided to prioritize writing articles that would advance my project. But, for the memory prompt I had the perfect item that will also play a role in the novel.
Yes, the unofficial duck challenge from Tillerz didn't really fit into the concept, but since I don't really know where my protagonists will end up after their portal journey, this unusual and funny challenge offered the opportunity to find a new location Discover Elaqitan. And what should I say? It was a lot of fun because after the initial idea I just wrote and drew without thinking too much and just let myself see how the article and images developed.

Despite a small lack of motivation, I wasn't completely idle and wrote my first article for my craft studio about setting up WA theme templates for new users.
I'm also working intensively on a family tree for my meadow goblins. Please be patient as the data and stories for nine generations take some time. Of course, I'm also thinking about using the new timeline tool for this.

Oh, and then there was a request in the chat for unofficial challenges about planned community challenges this year. Since there were a lot of good articles in my "How to Ascend a Throne" challenge last year, I decided to offer a challenge this year too. The community was able to choose from three topics and chose “Astral”. The preparations for this are almost complete and I would be very happy if you would follow my call in April and look at the stars with me.

Have you ever heard of sound magic? I had no idea before reading this interesting article. Very unusual idea that Soulwing98 packaged with some nice drawings.

What would we do without Mochi's amazing articles? Here is another wonderful piece that features a large number of fantastic species. I would really like to see the swamp and all its creatures.

Of course, there were lots of strange objects to discover, so February felt like a little summer camp for me.

Did you ever write diaries? I did and it would have been great to have a bookmark like this to protect the content from evil eyes. Feel free to take a look into the world of CSor96 - there are always a few inspiring articles to discover.

This box from Kwyn Marie hides 18 valuable, lovingly drawn and briefly described treasures that the cute little protagonist has collected and kept over the course of his life. Shouldn't everyone own a box like this in their life?

CrazyEddie has created a beautiful spot here. I particularly liked that the topic of the article is also reflected in the interior of the rooms, so that a visit feels like coming home.

This article by elspeth87 about "humanoid" ducks really blew me away. The biological needs have been cleverly woven into the culture of the species, which makes this article particularly worth reading.
