Sayahafat Hills
Geography
These rolling hills are riddled with an intricate cave system. It's near the sea but is still classified as a hot desert.
The intricate cave network is considered sacred ground, with locals attributing mystical properties to the very stones that make up its dwelling. The hills surrounding the caves are marked with petroglyphs and ancient carvings, depicting the legendary encounters between the Sayahafat Beast and those who crossed its path.
Climate
Hot and dry. It gets very little rain (no more than 5 inches) in a year, even with it close to the sea. Temperature ranges from 60o F to 120o F.
Fauna & Flora
Life here has adapted to the high heat and the nearly non-existent rainfall. Humans who come here have learned to use the cave system.
History
Most of the history of this area is tied with the Legend of the Sayahafat Beast and with Jumah, the guard city.
