The Sovereign Zigmund Effron, son of Sovereign Margaret Effron is a studious man with intense energy that generally does as much as possible to avoid mingling with the public. While this seems a bit aloof as a matter of character, the Sovereign is in fact a benevolent individual, following a great many of the leanings of his predecessor and continuing in the theme that she set as a leader. He is eager to further the sciences of his Empire, not only funding but helping to make sense of the data collected during the Overreach Project. He is an avid supporter of Ephram Nadus and his attempts to reach beyond the terrestrial boundaries of the world, and has many times even assisted in experimentation and debate concerning the project. By his side, always is his Prima Consort Eleanor Effron , who's sharp mind and shrewd public dealings are a great boon to his reign, her abilities in both math ad science comparable to the Sovereign's own, they work in tandem in most matters.

Zigmund had a fairly quiet life, though his sharp intellect and quiet nature afforded him a great deal of opportunities to learn at as the Empire grew and advanced under his mother's care. His youth was spent in libraries and along side the greatest tutors that could be afforded him, and while the intellectual results are plain to see in both his fervor as well as the results his pursuits have yielded, it has left him with a slight bit of agoraphobia. He struggles in social situations, often stuttering and stumbling over his words and seeming nervous. Most write this off as the nature of royalty, or an odd quirk, but it is a genuine difficulty that he struggles with daily.
In his twentieth year, he met Prima Consort Eleanor Effron at a private event in The Palace of Glass , and was terrified of her, as the story goes. She was a sharp witted, attractive woman from a reputable family that had a mind to match. She was confident and surefooted in the social situation where they met, and while the young Sovereign to be tried desperately to leave the event, she blocked his path and would not let him go. Realizing quickly the state of his mind, young Eleanor understood, however, and spirited him away to the library, where the two quietly were able to hold their first conversation. Zigmund was astounded at her brilliance, and drawn to her spirit, and from that night the two were well night inseparable, and married within the year. They remain as such to present day, she the surefooted speaker and social navigator, and he the driven but awkward ruler.

Zigmund is a decorated scholar in many fields, and continues to study, voraciously consuming anything he can learn.
