Barewood

Barewood is the agricultural jewel of Fidach. The town is so named after the schism that lead to The Breaking, wherein the Dal Riadan Elves physically broke away from the continent and severed all ties with the other elves of Cairngorm. In so doing they also took with them nearly all of the forests that historically covered the southern regions of modern day Fidach. Barewood is the ancestral and primary home of the Feyling Elves. Although commonly lumped together with Wild Elves by foreigners (and the Dal Riadan) the Feyling Elves are unique for their link to the Feywild. Each Feyling Elf is born connected to the Feywild, and with practice can commune with the Faerie who live on the Feywild plane that intersects with the material plane in Barewood.
