Askborg

Colloquially known as Ashguard, the city is a location famous as the settlement central to the battlegrounds of the ifreet invasion of 830 AoM. The lake it sits upon is believed to be the location of the fall of Sepah-Salaar Ozraa at the end of that conflict, and flames can still be seen beneath its waters on some nights.

Government

Like most, Askborg is ruled by a jarl with a supporting lawkeeper. In addition, the jarl keeps a select number of merchants, artisans, and hunters from the local lodge in their council.

Defences

The city borders and wraps along a lake with the rest of the city proper surrounded by large walls. Watchtowers are arrayed along the shore and the river that it feeds.
