Nivimanda (Niv-ee-mon-da)
The Nivimanda, also known as Niviene's Wardens, was an Eldaria-based organization during the Age of Magic which focused on the neutralization of supernatural threats. Named after a well-known fey lady, Niviene, it was theorized at the time that they were in service to the Lady of the Lake.
Structure
The Nivimanda, though primarily seen as an inquisitorial, knightly order, was actually made up more of wizards and rangers than direct, martial fighters.
Public Agenda
The public agenda of the Nivimanda was the neutralization of extradimensional, supernatural, and magical threats. This was through means of both destruction of said threat and the containment of it (the latter being what they were known most for). The means by which they achieve this containment and the location or locations of said "contained threats" were both kept top secret even among a wide portion of the organization.
The Nivimanda were under the impression that the further the world stepped into the realm of the metaphysical, supernatural, and arcane, the more there needed to be a form of protection from threats that arose, including mortal threats.

Locations of Note
Sibyl Stronghold
Located in the mountains of southern Eldaria, the Sibyl Stronghold was the headquarters of the Nivimanda. It is believed to have been destroyed during the shattering of Eldaria at the end of the Age of Magic.Geode Vault
A prison, its location secret to most within the Nivimanda, held the most dangerous threats to the Eldar kingdoms during the Age of Magic. What the prison held was never written about in certainty. Some believe it held the worst criminals, powerful demons and devils, dragons captured during the Molting, or even gods, but no solid evidence is held to prove that point. However, its secrecy during an age of common scry spells and the height of divination speaks volumes.Disbandment
The organization disbanded following nearly 200 years of internal disputes among the surviving members and their following generations. Those who wished to leave were given leave under oath of their secrecy of the location and what resides there.
The remaining members reformed the organization under a new name and a new focus: the Order of the Lake, a druidry-centric organization focused on the secrecy and maintaining of the island.
