Casmyr

Casmyr is old. Its history goes back more than 6000 years to the time king Casmyr united the clans of men and took over the land. It had a long reign, but it was in a constant war with other nations and sometimes civil wars ravage the land.Several times in the past, Casmyr was torn apart and had to rebuild. That is why strange ruins dot the landscape. For centuries Casmyr had no technological development..why would you, when most things could be solved with magic?. The people became complacent and insular. Our mages can handle this, right? Wrong! There were plenty of infighting between the mages. The Sorcerer Supreme at the time, the gnome arch mage Atosh Grimfire , took advantage of the situation and had the wizard guilds fight it out, and when they were weakened he tried to take control by opening a Hell Maw. Legions of devils poured through. It was known as "The Fel Incursion", where it was discovered that Grimfire was in league with Hell. Some say that he was a Fel Gnome. The war took 7 years, and Grimfire was killed by Mortus Blackhand , a powerful warrior. Casmyr rebuild, and the reliance of magic was abandoned. The land entered a second dark age with petty kingdoms that warred with each other. After the first Casmyr/Hobgoblin war, Casmyr was defeated and was, for a few years, part of the expanding Hobgoblin Empire "The Bloodied Hand". Luck would have it, the Orcs saw what was happening, and didnt like Hobgoblins taking their hunting ground, so the Orc attacked and actually freed Casmyr...They immidiately tried to take the land for themselves, but the Orcs failed. Casmyr rebuild again, but it took decades for them to bounce back. After years and years of rebuilding...War with the future nations of The Concord and rebuilding. The Hobgoblins were angry. They set aside their hatred for the Orcs, and proposed an alliance. Years later, The Dominion was born. After a time where most countries in the "civilized" world was hurt by The Dominion, The Concord was born, and the rest, as they say, is history...
