Breeze Guild
The Breeze Guild is composed of devoted individuals who wish to protect their city from non-military threats. They keep the city safe from wolves, bandits, wandering abominations, and everything in between.
Structure
This organization is structured like a ranger service. There is a single guildmaster and numerous deputy directors that govern surrounding areas. Each deputy director has in their employment 2 to 3 firewatches and a response crew of adventurers. It is modelled after the US park service.
Culture
The culture is one of pride where each member is responsible for their fellow citizen and they are well respected in town. They operate with a similar appreciation level of a fire department in current eras.
Public Agenda
Their goal is to defend the major cities from local wildlife, environmental events, and act as a first line of defense in extreme situations
Assets
They are one of the three foundational guilds created by the initial founders of the city. As such, they have inheritted a large amount of funding. Their investments and management are neither effective or efficient, but the bounties brought back by hunting parties and confiscation of contraband offsets any costs they may accrue.
History
Demetrius Theophilos was extremely concerned about presenting a safe local to any prospective settlers to the new world. His mindset was that if their new colony couldn't protect its populace, it didn't deserve to exist. To these ends, his patronage lead to the foundation and continued support of the Breeze Guild to ensure the safety of its citizens from non-military exterior threats. Wolves, monstrosities, or otherwise, the Breeze Guild would protect its people.
