Templar

Templars are adept Men-at-Arms trained by the Church of the Divine. They train primarily in physical skills, but are also taught more scholarly pursuits and trained in some basic magic if they prove talented. They usually swear oaths to protect the innocent, or to fight evil. Templars are often deployed to either hunt monsters or rogue mages, though sometimes also find themselves attached to a Lords retinue. However more commonly they are used to protect important temples and cathedrals.
