Adept
Those called Adepts are considered to be descendants of one of the 12 Magi.
The evidence of being an adept usually manifest when young, and occasionally in puberty. In some rare cases a person’s Adept blood can remain inactive until later in life, but such an occurrence is very rare. Adepts possess true potential for magic, able to master multiple spells and somehow retain all the complex formulae, gestures and words required.

Causes
It has been determined that Adept blood is inherited through a series of recessive genes, because of this Adepts remain rare, as both parents must carry the series of genes and pass them on to their child. However, two Adepts are virtually guaranteed to have Adept offspring, so some powerful mage-dynasties have existed throughout time.
Cultural Reception
Considering the dangers of Wild Magic, most Adepts once discovered are handed to the Church of the Divine or the Circle of the Silver Owl to be trained in mental control and meditation techniques as well as instructed in the much safer Ordained Magic.
