Their skin ranges in shades of blue and grey, with some individuals having patterns resembling mountain ranges. They have thick, rugged hair that is often braided or styled into elaborate hairstyles.
Goliaths are known for their strength and endurance, and they often take on roles as warriors or laborers in their communities. They have a strong sense of community and place great value on loyalty and tradition. Many Goliaths also have a spiritual connection to the earth, and they often seek out opportunities to test their physical and mental limits.
The Goliaths have a long history of living in underground tunnels, deep beneath the sea's beneath Yosvyn. They were forced to stay underground due to the frequent flooding of their tunnels when they dug upwards, causing them to seek shelter deeper below. However, during the second cataclysm, the isle of Yosvyn was felled and crashed into the sea, causing a massive earthquake that shook the Goliaths' tunnels. When they emerged from underground, they found the land overrun by Infernals.
Despite their imposing appearance, Goliaths are generally peaceful and seek to avoid conflict whenever possible. They are willing to defend their communities and allies when necessary, but they prefer to find diplomatic solutions to problems. Goliaths have a close relationship with the Gnomes, having allowed them to seek refuge in their underground tunnels during the second cataclysm. In return, the Gnomes have formed the Arcasturm Republic on the surface, allowing Goliaths who reside on the surface to be treated as citizens as long as they follow their laws. The Gnomes also engage in trade with the Goliaths in their underground tunnels, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between the two races. The Gnomes were able to offer the Goliaths access to new technologies and resources, while the Goliaths were able to provide their strength. When it came to designing an automata to hold the power of Soulstone, the Gnomes based the design of the Warforged on the Goliath.
Despite their short time of interaction in the Central Domain, they have left their mark on the history and culture of the Central Domain. Only in the future can we see the heights they will rise to.
