Prelude to the Present: Session 02 - All roads lead to Eastmere
General Summary
Group awakens to see Beihlur is rocking in her sleep. In her mind Beihlur is home in Zephyr, surrounded by the bodies of Aarakocra and Air Genasi alike. standing in front of him is her demon taunting him. He attempts to kill one but more appear in front of him. The Ychlol multiply with each throw of his blades. The rest of the group is in a hard situation as their friend and compatriate is attacking each of them. Landing a few blades on Flaxia in the fight that were almost fatal, teleporting out of her bindings when she is caught by Flaxia's lasso. Meanwhile Kelbor-Hal is swinging their warhammer, only managing to connect with anything other than the Genasi infront of them, smashing windows and tipping oil lamps. The group was eventually able to snap Beihlur out of his stupor. Beihlur knowing his curse and the Human mind, knew that this was not simply his insanity.
The group met with Kat Krill who pointed them towards their next quest. To kill The Goblin King. Goblin Kings tend to arise once or twice a decade, prophesised to one day return the goblins to greatness, is often assassinated by their rivals or meddling adventurers before they can enact their supposed fate. Some high-ups in the commonwealth want to make sure this happens sooner rather than later, where they can affect their frontier.
Before setting out, our group split up, Kelbor-Hal returning the the Broken Compass to purchase some improved bolts from Abelus. Amdhi, having asked Kat, of possible healers of the demonic sort, headed with Flaxia and Beihlur to the Arcasturm Archives to seek a healer there. Where they found a cleric of the great machine. Amdhi feeling this accomplishment felt inspired.
They found a carriage who would take them most the way. Eventually the group came across a rider, deducing they were from the previous group sent after this goblin king. He warned them to stay away from the Goblins as they were doing something at the structure.
