The Presence of Demons in the Central Domain: An Examination of the Role of Endbringers in Historical Conflicts

CW: Depictions of paranoia

Written by LivInLaVidaNeko

Abstract:

In this research paper, I, Glimmera Fizzlespark, a researcher and animancer of 37 years at the Tower of Animancy in Arcasturm, will be examining the role of demons, colloquially known as The Endbringers, in historical conflicts in the Central Domain. Through an analysis of various texts and primary sources, I will explore the possibility of a theoretical cooperation between the demon Death and War in the Iceglade War, which led to the downfall of the Human Fiefdoms.

Introduction:

The Endbringers, or demons, are a mysterious and enigmatic presence in the Central Domain. They are known for their insatiable hunger for the suffering of mortals and fey, and are believed to possess immense power and knowledge. Despite the fear and dread they inspire in mortals, little is known about their origins and true nature. What we do know is that mortal fear for Demons is like sustenance to them, and for that reason cannot be allowed to Metastasize through society.

Body:

One historical event that has been the subject of much speculation and debate is the Iceglade War, which led to the downfall of the Human Fiefdoms. Many scholars have theorized that the demon Death may have had a hand in the conflict, possibly cooperating with War to bring about destruction and chaos. This theory is supported by accounts of unusual shift in Orth Iceglade's personality, as well as reports of widespread and odd deaths that befell those near him at the time.   However, it is important to note that there is no concrete evidence to support these claims. It may have been a coincidence. The true causes of the Iceglade War are still shrouded in mystery and remain a subject of ongoing research and investigation.   As I delve deeper into my research, I am of the opinion that these events were linked and if I'm proven right, then none of us are safe. This could mean demons have the ability manipulate mortals at any level and reaping the suffering that they set the stage for. It is clear that these entities are not to be underestimated or trifled with.   That such powerful beings as the Archfiends of the Apocalypse might collaborate and scheme from the shadows. And if they were capable of such destruction in the past, what other atrocities are they capable of in the present and future?   I am beginning to see the demons as the true enemy of our world. The ones who threaten the peace and security of the Central Domain. They must be stopped at all costs. This makes it even more crucial that we are aware of their presence and take action to protect ourselves from their influence.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the role of demons in historical conflicts such as the Iceglade War remains a subject of ongoing research. While there is no concrete evidence to support the theory, these concerns cannot be dismissed. The Endbringers are powerful and malevolent entities that will slay us all if we give them the chance. It is imperative that we do not.   The more I learn about the demons, the more I realize that they are a force that cannot be ignored, and it is my duty to protect us from their malevolent influence. It is a harsh truth, but those who threaten peace and stability, and those who would shelter the contaminated, simply must be eliminated for the sake of to keep the rest of us safe.   It is with great sadness that I submit this paper, understanding what they will call me for what I know. But we must act swiftly and decisively before it is too late, the public must know.
Note: "While Gilmmera Fizzlespark has a long history and much renown in the field of animancy, I find her conclusions on Demonology and mental state questionable. I've made the decision to not publish her work and seek aid from the Pillar of Enforcement in supporting her wellbeing. She has also been relieved of her position as my co-researcher and anything she's worked on will be under review."- Marek Vavrus
