Al' Olurum

In the north of Lustris, the harbor city of Al´ Olurum holds a historical status as a pivotal center regarding the expansion and exploration of neighboring lands. The main body of the city, is located on top of the high cliffs which devides the abyssal sea from the main land.
In it's infancy, Al' Olurum was a small harbor between the high northern cliffs and the sea. Over time, the harbor evolved in to a city, as it grew larger and larger. Eventually the city blossomed into a cauldron of trade and export, nevertheless it's military roots are ever prevalent in many ways.
Al´ Olurum has a network of narrow waterways weaving throughout the city. These picturesque canals are bustling with activity, as locals navigate them in small ferries and rafts, adding a lot of charm to the city. The walls along the waterways are covered with colourful instructions and art, helping the locals navigate the waters. Market stalls line the waterfront, selling exotic goods and delicacies from far-off lands, while street performers entertain crowds with music and dancing.

Demographics

A large variety of races occupy the streets of Al' Olurum, though it is fair to say that there are mostly Tritons, Giffs, Elves, Humans and Half elves. Al' Olurum was initially founded by the Astral Elves. They did this together with the Giff, which aided them with the design of the city. Eventually, the war across the sea would subside, and thus the need for extreme militarisation would seize as well. This catlyzed a small war between a local Triton kingdom. However, the tritons defeat was thoroughly overwhelming, ending the war within a matter of days.

TRADING Merchants from far and wide gather here to exchange exotic goods and rare treasures, their colorful tents and displays drawing in crowds of curious onlookers. The district is a melting pot of cultures, with traders haggling in various languages and showcasing goods from distant lands.
